Our Mission

Project HoriZen aims to bridge the gaps between Western therapy principles and Eastern cultural values. We recognise that in our increasingly interconnected world, there is a need to understand and integrate diverse cultural perspectives into mental health. In doing so we hope to encourage and increase cultural competency in clinical practice with the aim to help destigmatise mental health in Asian communities.

We aim to provide research, training and supervision to equip mental health practitioners worldwide with the knowledge, skills and resources to provide culturally sensitive and effective care to Asian populations.
